Meet Lala Ignacio,
Residential Solar Advisor
If you reach out to Cool Earth Solar, there’s a good chance Lala Ignacio will be the first person you talk to—and that’s a good thing.
Lala has spent over a decade in the solar industry, working across residential and commercial sales, leadership, and operations for some of the most well-known solar organizations in California. She knows how solar systems are designed, sold, installed, and supported—not just on paper, but in the real world. That experience helps her guide homeowners through smart, realistic decisions that actually make sense for their home and budget.
At Cool Earth Solar, Lala focuses on helping homeowners understand their options clearly—no pressure, no confusion, just straightforward answers from someone who’s been doing this a long time. She’s passionate about energy independence, long-term savings, and making sure people feel confident about their solar investment.
Outside of solar, Lala is a talented piano player and spends her downtime with her English bulldog, Beau—who may or may not supervise from nearby while she’s working.
If you’re looking for someone who’s friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely experienced, you’re in good hands with Lala.
The Leadership Team at Cool Earth Solar
When you work with Cool Earth Solar, you’re not just choosing a system—you’re working with the people who stand behind it. At some point, you’ll meet the team members who make sure everything is done right, from the equipment we install to the long-term performance you’re counting on.
Cool Earth Solar is a family-run, community-focused company that believes in doing what we say we’ll do—and being here long after installation day. We design our systems to last, and we stick around to support them for years to come.

Bob McWilliams,
ServiceManager
Bob is our Service Manager at Cool Earth Solar, overseeing troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs for both residential and commercial solar and energy storage systems. With over a decade in the solar industry, he’s worked on nearly every stage of the process—from installation to long-term system performance—so he knows exactly how these systems are supposed to work in the real world. After seeing the benefits firsthand, Bob even installed solar on his own home, which gives him a homeowner’s perspective as well as a technician’s eye.
Outside of work, Bob is an avid runner who enjoys early morning runs before the day gets going. When he’s not out on the trail or getting systems back up and running, he’s spending quality time with his wife and kids.
Jacob Lamkin,
Engineering & Project Manager
Jacob Lamkin is the Engineering and Design Manager at Cool Earth Solar, combining hands-on field experience with deep electrical engineering expertise. His background spans solar installation, system design, and advanced energy storage, giving him a ground-up understanding of how energy systems perform in the real world. Jacob’s interest in engineering started early—while still in high school, he worked on a Falcon 9 rocket test article, an experience that sparked his passion for problem-solving and real-world engineering (even when things don’t go perfectly).
Jacob began his solar career as an installer and engineering intern before earning his Electrical Engineering degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He later spent several years working in battery technology and energy storage, developing and testing systems before returning to Cool Earth Solar to lead engineering and design. Today, Jacob focuses on building reliable, well-engineered systems that perform efficiently and stand the test of time.
